18 Mar Announcing our Electric Waves music & surf festival!
BOY OH BOY are we delighted to share this one with you!
It gives us ENORMOUS pleasure to confirm that Surf Snowdonia is going to be hosting its very own surf and music festival this summer!
We’ve called it ‘Electric Waves’, and it’s going to be a family-friendly festival packed full of music, fun, comedy, food and happiness. Oh and some nice beers. We mustn’t forget the nice beers.
This is what is set to be rocking the Conwy Valley one massive weekend in July: UK acts like Bez from the Happy Mondays, 25 Years of Cream, General Levy and the UK Chilli Peppers as well as some massive local talent like Calfari and KKlass.
And it’s all happening on the shores of our surf lagoon with a backdrop of Snowdonia’s magnificent mountains and forests. Sounds pretty special, doesn’t it!
As well as music and surf, Electric Waves will feature comedy, DJ workshops and a whole load of family-friendly activities like slacklining, a skate ramp, climbing wall, mountain biking and balance bikes as well as our Electric Waves Fairground.
There will be a 15% discount for all ticket holders who would like to try our regular Surf Snowdonia activities like surf, Crash & Splash, the Soft Play Shack and bungee trampolines. Subject to availability.
We know festivals can be hungry and thirsty work, so we’ll be showcasing some of the best food and drink our beautiful region has to offer including surf side street food, BBQ, real ales and craft beers.
So what can you expect from this North Wales festival extravaganza?
Electric Waves is a three-day festival (Friday – Sunday) and you can come on a day or a whole-weekend pass. Expect a family-friendly vibe which celebrates some of the best music of the last 25 years as well as some of our best local talent. Expect comedy, bingo and hot tubs. And expect to make a few new friends.
We want Electric Waves to be affordable for as many people as possible. We know it can be hard for families to get to some of the bigger festival events because of the cost, so we’ve made the decision to allow free access for children under 10, and we’ve kept standard ticket prices as low as we can.
You can see a full list of the pricing structure on Skiddle.com, but top line is this:
Day tickets from £20
Weekend Tickets £50
Weekend campervan parking pass £45
Weekend camping per person per night £15
FREE to children under 10 years old
We will be announcing more big acts in the coming weeks – follow us on social media to get all the latest news on our line-up.
For now, you need to get the weekend of 14, 15 and 16 JULY in your diary and get on our tickets quick – we will be releasing tickets in phases, and there’s a limited number of early bird tickets in the first phase.
