12 May Fast-track your skills at our Rip Curl surf camp for kids
For the May / June half term school holidays we have a got a real treat for all you young budding surfers out there.
Along with our pals over at Rip Curl UK, we’re going to be hosting a unique residential surf camp to kick start the summer. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young surfers to fast-track their surfing skills in a safe, controlled, supportive learning environment.
Our two-day surf camp will take place during the Whit half term on 1st and 2nd June 2017 and is ideal for youngsters who would like to substantially improve their level of surfing and confidence on the water. We’re offering places to 12-16 year olds, and the sessions will be split into beginner, intermediate and advanced ability. No surfing experience is necessary, just an appetite to learn!
Coaching will be delivered by some of the UK’s top coaches and pros including Jayce Robinson, a Rip Curl pro surfer; Joel Gray, also of Rip Curl; and head of our surf academy Jo Dennison – who was recently crowned Welsh surf champion for an amazing fifth time.
Our inland surf lagoon is uniquely geared for rapid learning. The reliability and consistency of our waves means that our surfers are able to make substantial progress in a short period of time. And our controlled, well-lifeguarded environment makes this a really safe place for your kids to master the basics, build on their skills and learn about surf etiquette and water safety.
No previous surfing experience is necessary, but those taking part must be confident in the water and able to swim at least 50 metres unaided. The course includes surf tuition as well as all meals including an evening BBQ, a surf camp film night in the Surf Snowdonia TiPi, a yoga session and accommodation. All participants will also get a Rip Curl and Surf Snowdonia goodie bag.
We reckon the kids will come away from it with plenty of new friends as well as some impressive new skills!
The Rip Curl Surf Camp at Surf Snowdonia takes place on 1 – 2 June 2017. The cost is £160 for beginners, £200 for intermediates and £250 for advanced surfers. Please enquire about accommodation for parents. For more information, and to reserve your place, contact Bo Roberts on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01492 353 123.
